Pacific Jewel is a spacious 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom pet friendly home with a $75 pet fee. Great views of Bodega Head, Point Reyes to the south and the 9th green of the Links at Bodega Harbour. A nice deck upstairs and a large patio downstairs make it a great place to relax inside or out. Located on Gull drive, it's just a short walk to the clubhouse and the beach. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed, and the downstairs bedroom has a king, the den downstairs has a sleeper sofa. Flatscreen TV's in the livingroom and the den, wireless internet, fireplace, gas bbq and a well equipped kitchen make this the perfect Bodega Bay getaway home.   As usual, we loved our stay in Pacific Jewel.
  Location is close to the beach path, house was very clean, and of course, the view was great. All cabinets do need updating! The kitchen faucet is now set in place and doesn't swivel so it was awkward to use due to the divided sink. It was nice having the larger TV this time.
  The golfers provided us with lots of entertainment!

  Very Beautiful Home. Great Views! Beautiful Sunset! Loved seeing all the wildlife. Watching the Golfers was fun too. A short walk to the private beach, sat on the bench provided. Short drive into Bodega Bay to get the best Fish & Chips at the "Boat House" & Steak dinner at "The Tides" restaurants. Way exceeded our expectations.

  Great views, staff was flexible which we appreciated. Spacious rooms, large kitchen. BBQ is in the front patio - not oceanside. Recommend the nearby Pinnacle Gulch Trail at low tide for a 15 minute hike to a mostly empty beach that is filled with sea life. We saw dear on the uphill hike back to the parking lot and countless wildflowers. Another nice trip to Bodega.

  The process of checking-in and accessing the house was seamless. The house itself was very clean, amenities were easily accessible and all necessary information/instructions to use them were easy to follow. The views are absolutely beautiful. The living room windows overlook the ocean and golf course. It was fun to watch people play golf while looking at the ocean. It's a very short walk down to the beach. Great stay!   It has been our family tradition to celebrate Thanksgiving at Bodega Bay, and Pacific Jewel is our favorite house to stay. Plenty room for roaming around and the view is fantastic. The house has a great floor plan and the kitchen is big.
  The manager staff is very responsive and courteous. We love them!
  The only suggestion I have is the kitchen supplies can be improved and need some bigger soup bowels.

  Wonderful! Weather was great, the golf a bit frustrating as it should be and beach lovely. Maybe the best part was falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and not sirens.   We had a great time here (2 adults and 3 teenage girls). The view from the living and dining rooms is spectacular. It was so relaxing to watch the boats and the waves and it was fun to watch the golfers. The house is very pet friendly. Our lab/retriever mix really enjoyed himself. Easy walk to the beach. The only suggestions I would make is for the owners to consider updating the bathrooms. The faucets, tiles, and woodwork was very outdated. Also, the slider downstairs was difficult to open and close. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to others!

  Large, comfortable home with full "wall of windows" in living/dining room. The home is just above the 9th green of Bodega Links golf course so you can watch the golfers and the boats out on the ocean at the same time! Bring binoculars. We saw a bobcat on the golf course (from the window of the house about 8:30am). Truly! The house is a bit dated but, no worries, all very clean with tile counters in the kitchen and plenty of pots/pans/serving dishes/ etc. Just remember to bring (or maybe owners will provide next time) your own coffee filters so as not to have to run to town (Pelican Plaza) to pick up at the grocery store. We had clam chowder (take out) from Fishetarian Fish Market in town. Excellent. Long line so it's best to order online if you want to avoid that process. The home is a short walk past the lodge down to the beach. Dogs have to be on leash there.
  Altogether two nights was barely enough time to enjoy all this house and area have to offer. We had stopped at the bread store and artisan cheese shop in Freestone on the way. Check them out as well.

  We really enjoyed the time we spent at this property. While the bathroom upstairs could use an update (we didn't see the downstairs), we really enjoyed the main living area and kitchen. The view is amazing and we enjoyed the fireplace too. The kitchen is very well equipped, there are a ton of dishes/pots pans and nearly every utensil you can imagine. Being able to park in the garage was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay here again, it was a nice getaway. It's an easy 5 minute walk down to the beach and we took advantage of it.

  We have been vacationing Bodega Bay for over 30 years. Pacific Jewel has a beautiful view to sit, relax, and enjoy. The overall experience was wonderful. The house was cleaned, the kitchen fully stocked for cooking, Wifi worked great, and beds were comfy. Eventually, the decore needs to be updated and the TV is in an awkward place.   Our vacation stay at Pacific Jewel was outstanding, just as it was last year. Although this house would not be a good fit for every family, it is a perfect fit for ours. Weather was gorgeous, location of house was perfect, terrific views of golf course and ocean and blessedly near to The Union Hotel, where we love to eat.

  A beautiful home with exquisite views. Very comfortable, and dog friendly. Nice to have a garage we could use. New motorized recliners really nice touch. It would've been nice to have a comment book to review for past visitors thoughts, and to add our own.   We decided to go to Bodega Bay on a last minute weekend trip for 3 days and love this home so much we stayed 7 days. We have rented many homes in this area and this location and view cannot be beat. The view is panoramic and just makes you feel so good. The owners have recently updated the couch and the only other things I could say as that the other furniture could use some updating, but other than that it was perfect. The home was very clean and well equipped. We will definitely be back again.

  Our overall experience was wonderful - relaxing and carefree. The view from the home was exceptional and it had all the amenities we needed and then some. The beach was a short walk and easily accessible. Wildlife was amazing - we saw a bobcat right out on the golf course. The home itself has a great floor plan - very roomy with incredible views from every room. There were only a few issues - some light bulbs were burned out. The gardener had a remote control for the garage door and we walked out of the house to find a man standing in our garage which was a little disconcerting.

  October along the coast is a family tradition. The weather is typically good, and this year was no exception. The Pacific Jewel has been our vacation choice for several years now and feels like a second home. Coming from the central valley where the night skies are cluttered with the glow of too many city lights, it is truly amazing to see all the stars and listen to the sound of the waves and the friendly fog horn. However, there was a serious ant problem in the kitchen. Management knew but timing was bad for spraying. Did the best they could. Master bath needs better light, bigger bulb would do it.   Once again, this was a great location (Bodega Bay) for our fall family vacation. We've been staying at the Pacific Jewel for the past half dozen years or so, and have yet to be disappointed. The view over looking the golf course and out over the bay to the ocean is without comparison. The home is warm and inviting and as usual was clean and in excellent condition. God willing and the creek don't rise, we'll be back again next year!

  Pacific Jewel is well titled. It sits peacefully along Gull Drive next to a view corridor empty lot and overlooks the 9th green. The ocean waves lull you to sleep and the stars twinkle on the ocean. Sunsets are postcard perfect. There are several trains to the beach and the clubhouse is a very doable 5 minute walk. The split level home is perfect for a family as well as for several couples to have private space. We highly recommend Pacific Jewel!

  This home was perfect for my husband and I and another couple. With two king size beds, one upstairs master and a downstair bedroom (both had views of the water), a bathroom and family room, it gave each couple a bit of privacy. It's a bit outdated (tile counter tops/kitchen floors), but we don't care about that too much. Bodega Bay Escapes staff were great and very helpful with booking and checking in was easy. I will definitely be staying here again and would recommend it to others.

  The view is the star here. Inside-not so much. Dated and worn, yet furniture is comfortable. Carpet stained in every room. Obviously vacuumed but can't get deep stains out. Kitchen fairly well equipped-yet not a measuring cup or measuring spoons to be found. Screen doors need replacing-one in living room doesn't close properly-the main one has tears in it. Flies easily came in. If you like watching golfers this is your place. However, in distance a great view of ocean. Downstairs patio is great to listen to waves and fog horn. Dining area off top deck is closed in so we didn't use. Very comfortable for two couples as bedrooms large and offer privacy.

  Super two bedroom house overlooking the ninth green and fairway with clear view of Bodega Head. This house is showing its age however with sliding entry doors that won't slide open as wheels are worn out. Windows difficult to open and cupboards and drawers without pull hardware. Carpet shows dirt/stain spots and wear through out. Handy garage for secure parking is a plus as well as proximity to beach access.

  We love to stay at this home because of the view. But to be honest, the home could use some updates and repairs. The screen doors on the sliders are very hard to open and close. The slider on the shower has the same issue. One doesn't move at all and the other is very hard to move. The kitchen needs new utensils. There is only one set of towels per person in the master bath. If you want more towels and wash rags, you have to go downstairs even though there is plenty of storage for them in the master. Having said that, the view is worth it all. We have stayed at this house at least 20 times over the last 9+ years. The vacation rental company is awesome.

  Three beautiful days along the north coast of California. Nice moderately easy walk to beach from the house. Fun to see golfers challenged by the green and bunkers in our view of the Pacific Ocean. A relaxing getaway!
  The home has a 70’s vibe that you could say is almost back in fashion 😊 . Someone who stayed at the property prior and did not clean dishes very well, we found dirty glasses and dishwater in cupboards. We soaked, washed and ran through dishwasher and guess what? the dishes were clean. The dishwasher also seems to be be getting a little old not doing a great job, might be time to change out soon. Definitely need to clean dishes of any food residue before using dishwasher to get them clean.

  The most desirable aspects of Pacific jewel were its location and view - within a 5 minute walk to Doran Beach. The size of the home was good for 5 - 6 persons. Though outdated as regards interior spaces, the size was good and an attempt had been made to update furniture. Unfortunately, the television in the main room did not work and there were several other maintenance issues. On the whole, our experience was favorable.

  electric range (careful not to burn food), only one set of towels/sheets for week (had to ask for laundry detergent for washer)also needed to launder the placemats as they had old dried food on them. Rain prior week brought in ants. The ants were killed with bait, but ant bodies were everywhere and bait traps stuck to kitchen counter. The view is exceptional and the location is perfect. Put up with inconveniences and just enjoy the super beach!!!
