This is our third time renting this two bedroom house. Homey and comfortable it doesn't feel like a rental. This is our fifth year with Bodega Bay Escapes. They've always been helpful and co-operative. We've never had any maintenance issues with the homes.Our only issue is the steep increase in price.We expect it to go up again next year and don't know if we can continue to come. A sad reality of the times.

The home is very roomy with two good size bedrooms and bathrooms. The front porch overlooks the Bay with homes inbetweeen. Very nice walking neighborhood with a path to the beach through the golf course parking lot. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

My husband and I along with another couple stayed 3 nights in Sandpiper. The home was tastefully decorated, comfortable living room furniture, nice views and we loved the location of the property. I only gave 4 stars on property's general condition due to mattress in master being a little too soft, one of the burners on cooktop wouldn't turn on and also BBQ did not work properly. We hope we get the opportunity to return in the future. Thank you to the homeowner for sharing their beautiful home.

We enjoyed our week in this house. It was our second stay at Sandpiper and a nice getaway from the city. The house is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub (used in once) and the BBQ... a new one since our last visit.
The mattress in the master bedroom is past its prime and it has been suggested that it be replaced.
We enjoyed it enough to book a week again next year.
Bodega Bay Escapes is a very responsive company and easy to deal with. Very professional.

The only negative is the bath towels need to be replaced. Golf course and hiking trail are within walking distance from the Sandpiper. Will be back again! Very good hamburger at the Boathouse.

First off we appreciate Bodega Bay Escapes because when I chose my 3 possibilities from the internet I requested the address to check out how they actually looked from the outside. They did better than that: they gave me the keys to each rental to check out the insides. That confirmed our choice-the other two were not to our satisfaction at all-Sandpiper was the ticket. Thoughtful decor, comfortable beds, good location made this a wonderful week's stay. I don't know about the "short walk to the beach" as renters are not allowed to use the "short trail". But you can walk the neighborhood which does have some lovely close views. The only negative was the hot tub not being user friendly. The cover was extremely heavy even for my husband. We had to hunt for a stepstool to get in it. As it was just too much effort, we only used it one time.

In one word, OUTSTAND8NG. More specifically, the property was exactly as described, with all amenities expected. In an ideal location. Property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Manager supplied service above expectations including delivery of flashlights and headlamps for and expected PGE power outage, as well as a ice chest with cool drinks at our arrival. Manager arranged for minor fixit items instantly. Intend to rent this unit again, and would recommend to friends. Enjoyed eating at the local bistro, Lucas Wharf, and crab fishing.

My sister and I spent a few days at Heron place and we're very comfortable. Perfect set up for two couples as well since each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The beach was just a short walk away and we found sand dollars at low tide....lots of jelly fish too! House had two main areas for relaxing indoors and outdoors. The hot tub was a great way to start and finish each day. We also appreciated the privacy as both neighboring houses didn't have any windows facing our decks.

Good home to escape to. Enjoyed having a fireplace to warm up at night. Appreciated having firewood in the garage, as well as a few laundry pods to wash clothes. A few things are different from pictures: newer TV (although took a few minutes to figure out), chairs in dining area and two new oversized chairs in sitting area. Oven is outdated but worked like a charm and cooks even. Quick walk to clubhouse and path down to the beach. Small playground behind clubhouse for younger kids with beach view. Plenty of seating throughout house and on the patio. Not too much of a ocean view but you can see it. Skylight leaked in blue bathroom right by toilet.

This is a very cozy home. Great location. Minutes from the Harbour Links Golf Course which also has a trail to the beach. Loved hot tubing, BBQing and drinking wine. Weather was perfect so we didn't get to light a fire but no big deal. All in all a perfect 4 day's and 3 nights. We will be back!!!

Compact home with glimpses of the sea, nestled in a golfing community. You might be surprised to be excluded from the clubhouse pool, but the location is great, just a quick walks to stairs to the sand.
The recycle bin was full, there were no trash bags and we thought it was funny there wasn't even salt and pepper. But we had a great time, it's a nice house in a good location.

Overall, we had a great experience at the Sandpiper house. Although the view of the bay was obstructed by the homes on the other side of the street, it was still a nice short walk to the beach. The bedrooms are about the same size which is nice if you decide to split the cost with another couple. The back deck which held the hot tub and the barbecue was nice and private. The layout of the house was very nice and open which was helped by several great skylights. Sandpiper was definitely a great place to get away and just relax.

We had a great family reunion at the Grebe house. It is really well set up for a large group that loves to gather around meals. A large dining table and a round table both have beautiful views of the close garden, golf course and ocean beyond. The kitchen had enough equipment, storage and counter space to allow several people to prep different dishes at one time.

The house located in a quiet subdivision that is good for walks and bike rides; conveniently a short walk to a gorgeous long beach. It was very nice to avoid getting in the car, other than getting supplies and taking a short drive to Bodega Head park.

The house suits people of all ages. It works well for those with mobility impairments because it is mostly level: only two steps up into the house and two optional steps up to the living room. Our younger visitors loved the little twin bed nooks in two of the upstairs bedrooms. They provide flexibility for sleeping arrangements and a private nest for little ones. We enjoyed the ping-pong table and lounging in the living room.

As the town is pretty small, visitors should stock up on groceries before heading to the area, to have access to more variety and lower prices.

We had a wonderful relaxing time! The Hot tub was hot and in a secluded place for privacy. We had a partial view of the ocean, and just steps away from clubhouse/restaurant. We made use of the trail and steps leading to the beautiful beach. Jennifer from the rental agency was so pleasant and helpful!

An escape from everyday life in a beautiful home with a peek a boo view of the coast. The beauty was you could hear the ocean. A simple walk to a fantastic beach was heart healing. Well, we did survive the Huge storm! No power for two days, we did use the wood stove and cooked a steak on it with a pan of course, boiled water and made my oatmeal! We did unfortunately lose a few things in the refrigerator. This was I think our 6th stay here. Really appreciated the new beds, new everything really. We’ve had a sisters reunion at Bodega Bay for the last 18 years. Hope to keep on going. Only thing I can bring up that we wished we had were some kind of kindling to start the wood stove, it took us a while, and candles or flashlights. Good thing we had them with us. Could also use new shower head in main bathroom, other than that. Loved it!

Cozy two bedroom home with decent ocean views. The front deck off the living room was larger than I expected and a nice place to sit. The hot tub cover was very heavy and made it difficult to remove and put back. Easy walk down to the beach and close to the golf pro shop.

Unit was clean. All appliances worked. We would suggest that both beds have their mattresses replaced. They sagged and lacked back support. A new shower head in one shower would work better and more water pressure in the tub-shower would be better. All else was fine.

Nice home in a good location. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and down to the beach. The home was clean except for the barbecue grill, but when we reported this, they cleaned it immediately. There was no can opener! Good bedroom setup with private bath for each. Hot tub was a bonus and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the afternoon. A big negative is the traffic in Bodega Bay! We are from Maine (ME), not Minnesota (MN)! A

The Sandpiper house had a excellent location and was accurately described in the listing. The house was clean and well-organized. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not functioning (and it was a large factor in our selecting this particular house). Maintenance staff attempted to repair it but could not. A partial refund in a fair amount was promptly made. Overall, excellent service from the rental team.

We rented a wonderful 2bd 2ba home near the recipe center. Wonderful front deck views and back deck had the jacuzzi and bbq.kitchen was well stocked for our Holiday meal.downsize no heat in one bedroom and it's bathroom. Not sure what is up with having the wall heater not work. Did not even have a control as all the other rooms did. Cold for our daughter and family.

Sandpiper is a perfectly situated property in the Links. Property is very clean and had all necessary amenities. However, it's in terrible need of an update, from the dishes and silverware, to the appliances, to the decor. Nevertheless, it got the job done and I would trade modernity for cleanliness any time!

Stayed at Sandpiper 3/17 for three nights. This was a change from original choice and it worked well for the most part. This house is comfortable for 6 at most...2 master suites w bath and a sofa couch. Huge TV, video and wireless internet. Kitchen was very functional but there was nothing ... not even salt and pepper, to enhance cooking. All appliances worked..oven off some in temp to the hot side. Hot tub was nice and held temperature without running all the time. Really needs a simple step for access...not all can balance and fall in,,. One bathroom had an overflow and the shutoff on the floor did not work. Reported to the rental agency. The gas BBQ is on its last legs...worked but burner is pretty gone.. location of house is good. Less than 10 minutes to Doran beach and 200 yards to golf clubhouse. Greenbelt behind house is for kite and animal play. Not too much of a view except from front deck looking between houses...
