Unobstructed ocean and beach views from rear deck, living room, and kitchen, makes one forget city life; private English country style garden provides a sanctuary for birds. Cook a meal on the gas BBQ while you enjoy watching the waves crash on the shore and the sounds of the Pacific Ocean. Or, slip onto the padded bay-window seat with a cup of coffee, a cozy fire, and watch a storm roll in. DVD, VCR, and satellite TV are available in the living room and master bedroom

Cook a holiday meal in the convection oven and/or the gas range while you watch the tide roll in and out. The dining room is one my favorite spots in the cottage since it offers views of both the garden and the ocean. Close off the den from the rest of the house and enjoy a good book or take a nap on the comfy couch. The loft has a queen bed with a sky-light and views of the ocean and hilly ranch land to the east. Master Suite has a king bed with french doors opening out to the front garden courtyard. This unique ocean-front property is a 10-minute walk to the beach.

  This view was unbeatable. Waking every morning to this was priceless. Kitchen was well equipped which is important because there really aren't many restaurants nearby (generally 20 min drive). Hit your groceries in the city because selection nearby is limited. 2 of the beds were super comfy. 1 is actually a sofa sleeper and not comfy. 1 of the bedrooms is in a room with no curtains. Privacy wasn't a concern, but if you are light sensitive, that could be a consideration. Home was very quiet/peaceful. We loved our stay. Highly recommend walking Goat Rock beach nearby.

  Cliff Cottage proved to be a wonderfully relaxing home that, even in the fog, allowed us to take joy in the sound of the waves and the crisp salty sea breeze. This home is lovely and quaint, comfortable and warm, and we were thoroughly able to sit back and unwind during our week on the coast. The description was accurate, the amenities were on-point, yet the photos did not do this home the justice it deserves. It's lovely! It would be helpful to have a railing available at both the front and back stairways, and some kind of differentiation to the kitchen step-down into the dining area, as those can be tricky for older guests. It would be a bonus to have access to a landline to call out, as cell service was, in fact, spotty to no-existent. We loved our stay, and hope to be back again! Thank you for your hospitality!

  This was the second time we have rented this home. Obviously we love it! Always clean and well appointed. We are headed back this winter with other family members renting their homes on the same street and have no idea if the whales are running but it doesn't matter because it is just so restful there. Looking out at the ocean and Wright's beach is amazing. Walking down to the beach is just a short jaunt.

  We all had a wonderful time. The only problem we had was the step down to the dinning area. I took a bad fall. Floor coloring is the same. We all tripped on the rugs curling up in the hallway and living room. Otherwise the home was absolutely wonderful. Of all the houses we have rented we all said it was the best. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen well equipped. BUT THE VIEWS WERE THE BEST.

  Although some of the furniture and pillows need cleaned or replaced, we still were able to relax and spent the majority of time on the outside deck overlooking the ocean. ABSOLUTELY Gorgeous!
  It was extremely convenient to have the washer and dryer to wash towels and sheets. Unfortunately one of the beds had dirty bedding and bedspread which smelled like someone’s old perfume.
  We also encountered ants in the kitchen, so you must keep everything sealed or in the fridge.
  This is our 3rd stay at Cliff Cottage and this is the 1st time we’ve noticed somethings not being quite up to par.
  Despite these minor inconveniences, the pros definitely outweigh the cons when staying at this perfectly located cottage.
  We took short drives to Bodega Bay and Jenner for supplies and take out, both convenient short trips.
  We loved our beach vacation and plan on continuing our visits on a regular basis.

  There aren't enough words to say about this beautiful home! Brought my daughter and husband and explored all over the coast while there. The home had a nice hot tub but unfortunately wasn't working at the time of our stay. Nice BBQ setup however, we didn't use it. We watched many whales right off the back deck and we were thrilled.   My husband and I stayed at Cliff Cottage for 4 nights in May and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location cannot be beat. The home has a large sitting room with a superior view of the beach. And since it is somewhat removed from Route 1 it is really quiet. The kitchen was a decent size and well appointed so that we could make breakfast each day. We also used the grill on the deck for dinner one night. Very cute home. The decor could use some updating but honestly that did not bother us--the home was clean and well maintained!

There is plenty of sitting room in the living room and the gas fireplace was perfect to take the chill out of the room. It is a short walk to the beach.   We celebrated our 48th with a return to Duncan's Landing and our first stay at spacious Cliff Cottage. It was a great stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, the living area glass expansive, the downstairs King bedroom oh so comfy. And the gas fireplace, very realistic with glowing embers, took the chill off our foggy evenings. We cooked in all but one night of our 5 night stay, purchasing our crabs across the harbor near Fisherman's Cove and our oysters and fish at The Tides, otherwise shopping at the super Safeway in Petaluma. Fabulous!!! Thanks Bix for maintaining your cottage so nicely. One note: the thermostat in the older model Sonoma Platinum grille is on the fritz and lighting the burners was a hit and miss affair even for agent Mike. A very small inconvenience and out shadowed by far by the hot tub!

  I can't say enough about this spot. I want to come back again and again and again. The house itself is roomy with lots of seating with an incredible view of the ocean. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay from pots and pans, coffee makers and spices, which is really convient.
  The bed downstairs that I stayed in was extremely comfortable and i slept really well. Can't say enough how important that was.
  The table outside was awesome to have, as well as the outdoor lawn chairs on the deck. The hot tub was incredibly enjoyable, worked well and had an awesome view. The steam room in the bath room was a really cool added bonus as well. The bar b q also made the stay extra enjoyable so you can grill up health meals.
  Goes without saying the view was incredible, watching the sun go down while waves crash up on the beach was beautiful to say the least.
  Check in and check out we're seamless.
  All and all as I mentioned, can't say enough about this place. Perfect place to relax and all the added features make it that much more enjoyable.
  
  I would definitely love to come back and bring others so they can also enjoy how wonderful this place is.

It was a bit chilly in Bodega but nice weather over all. In colorado if you dont like the weather wait 10min, In Bodega, drive 10min. In such a short distance you have a 20° difference in weather, with a variety of things to do: country drive, redwoods, wine country, but ohh so nice to drive back to cliff cottage a quiet peaceful seren place to was hard to leave. We cant wait to go back with our kiddos.

  The views from this property are amazing and there is nothing like watching a Pacific sunset. We saw several kinds of birds and the hummingbirds were enjoying the many flowers still in bloom on the property. We kept the back door open to hear the sounds of the surf or sat on the deck; each day we saw several fishing boats going up and down the coast. For easy beach access we choose the quick 5 min drive to Wrights Beach. We ate most of our meals at the house and the kitchen had all that we needed.   Overall our experience renting Cliff Cottage was a great success. The views from this property are spectacular and the weather turned out to be mid-70s, making the outside deck a great place to take in the scenery.   I rented Cliff Cottage for 3 nights for my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. I visited them for one of the nights. We loved cliff cottage. The location was perfect, and the view fantastic. And, all photos accurately displayed the property, which was both cozy and elegant. The one problem was that many of the lights had burned out lightbulbs and/or appliances had dead batteries. I recommend that the management company ask cleaners to check the operation of lights/appliances/remotes, etc. between guests.

  The views and are incredible and location is fantastic. The house itself seems to be a work in progress - completely usable but I would recommend only to one couple or a very close family. The loft bedroom has no door and the shower is shared and accessed from both bathrooms. There are many glass doors in all rooms. All in all, it was a nice house in a great location that is perfectly acceptable for a stay at the beach. It could be updated considerably but does offer all that it promised.

  Cliff Cottage is a nice little place on Wrights Beach, just a few quick minutes out of Bodega Bay proper. The views are amazing! Darling place, lots of nice touches. My only issues were that the fire place doesn't work, and we weren't told that in advance. The hot tub was also out, but the owner did give us a small break on price for that. There is NOT beach access that you can walk to easily, but its a super short drive, like 2 minutes from door to sand. The second bedroom doesn't have a door, and at least a curtain might be nice for a bit of privacy. 2 bathrooms with the steam shower being shared, Jack and Jill style. That was interesting. Overall, loved it, and would go back. We had a really lovely time. The garden is pretty, lots of humming birds came by. Ocean views for miles. Beach below was almost empty all the time. It was like a piece of Heaven!

  We loved staying at the Cliff Cottage and fall in love as soon as we walked in. The only suggestion for improvement would be to make sure that cleaners are doing better job. Two white sofas in living room had many dirty stains, as well as the sheets on the top level. Floor in the living room was dusty and there were some paper wrappers under the bed on the bottom level. As for the white Ikea sofas, I know that cover can be easily washed in washing machine, so that could be an easy fix. :) I absolutely love the staff of Bodega Bay Escapes, they were super friendly and always happy to help.

  Great view, hiking etc. House condition is OK. Good place to relax. Not so good place for children, as there is not much children activities around.

  Cliff Cottage has all of the elements for a fantastic getaway -- great location, beautiful ocean views, comfortable furnishings and a great floorplan. Unfortunately, the ant problem has the potential of detracting from all of this greatness. The ant problem is real and it takes only one or two days of food in the house to bring them out (and we were very neat and tidy). I think the owner really owes it to guests who are paying a premium to stay there to put some money into getting rid of the ants. I would love to stay there again but have to say that I would hesitate for more than 2 or 3 days. Property is otherwise clean and tidy, but a few updates would go a long way.

  Have stayed at this home several times. My husband loves the kitchen. Unfortunately, this time we had ants! The view and deck are great! Not to be picky, but, we couldn't get the Giants on their limited basic cable. After all it is the SF Giants!

  The home was a good size and looked nice though, livingroom furniture was not real comfortable. Ant traps around didn't give a clean feel but we did not have any pest issues. Activities in the garage woke us up at early hours of the morning 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Don't know what was going on but very uncomfortable. Loved the views. Spacious living area for hours of gorgeous ocean experience. Rental company always a pleasure, always friendly.

  Because of the location of this cottage, we enjoyed our stay. The view could not be better. But in general, the cottage could certainly use some maintenance as it is looking "tired".
  The beds were fine, the living room furniture fine. The kitchen was bit of a problem. It needs repainting as the counter top edges were permanently sticky, the paint in the kitchen is nearly worn off in places.
  Small things like there being 4 night lights in the cottage which are needed because of the steps up and down but not one of the four worked. So simple to upkeep if anyone would check. The clock in the kitchen I'm sure just needs a new battery to work. We were left with empty bottles of dish washing liquid and general cleaner.
  The outside Adirondack chairs - we didn't want to touch them, let alone sit in them. Again, they just needed cleaning up or some maintenance on them. The first couple of days we were there the temps were up and the living room was HOT. Unfortunately the windows on the bay window would not open which would have let in the sea air because the handles were both broken.
  The bush next to the BBQ is touching, some leaves already burned and to me, was a fire hazard.
  This cottage could be a real gem. It desperately needs some TLC.
  I would recommend this property to friends if some investment is made into the property so that it looks like the photos once again.
