Beachcomber

Beachcomber is a 2 story 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with an open kitchen, dining room and living room lay out. This home is on the front line, about as close as it gets to Doran beach with direct beach access via a trail off the back patio. Located in The Links at Bodega Harbour. The living room has a fireplace for duraflame logs and TV with cable, DVD player, On the main level, you have the kitchen, livingroom, master suite, garage, laundry, 1/2 bath. The master bedroom upstairs on the entry level has a queen bed, tiny TV with cable & DVD and a private bathroom with a large shower. The lower level bedrooms all have Queen beds and share a full bath. One of the bedrooms does not have a window. The outdoor patio is easy to access through a sunroom to the outdoor patio leading to the trail to the beach. The sunroom has a couch and TV with cable. This home has a fully equipped Kitchen; complete with everything you need to make a gourmet meal. The Dining room table seats 8. There is deck off of the dining room with a Gas BBQ and a few chairs. The Beachcomber home has a 2-car garage, washer and dryer and includes linen. No house phone.

Beach Access:
To walk to the beach from the Beachcomber House, it will take 5 minutes or so. You walk from the lower patio to the trail and down to the beach. There is also a short trail to the beach using the access at the Club House, the drive will be about 5 minutes and the walk from there another 5 minutes.

We cooked all of our meals there for 4 days. The location is unbeatable with a short trail walk down to the beach!!! After arriving, we never needed our cars!!

  Best Bodega bay trip ever out of the 20 times i have been their. This house is great for families, adults have a room up stairs while kids can be down stairs. back patio views and evening with the hot tub gone, to sit out back was relaxing, first trip with no wind, yes no wind. that does happen once in awhile in Bodega.

  This house is a great ocean front house with easy access down to Doran Beach. The house is clean and comfortable for families. There were quite a bit of ants this trip, which is to be expected with the drought, management dropped some spray off first thing. Some basic cleaning products would be nice to have on hand as well.
  All in all, this house works great for our needs and we’ll definitely be back!

  Wonderful!! The beach path was very convenient and the view was spectacular. The best parts of the house were the patio and deck. The interior decor could use some updating but the beds and living areas were very comfy. I did have to resist rearranging the kitchen tools to make it more efficient. LOL! All in all, its an awesome beach house with a great view, convenient beach access, and gorgeous neighborhood.

  The Beachcomber is a lovely home we would rent again. We had four adults and four teenagers, and the house was perfectly sized for us. The main level with the living room, dining room and kitchen were ideal for gathering and socializing. The four queen size beds and the bathrooms were comfortable. The only things we felt were missing were a hot tub and shampoo (e.g. travel size shampoo and conditioner like at hotels) in the shower. The Bodega Bay Escapes team is very professional and responsive. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  As always, it was great! Pam, Matt, Jess and the team are terrific! House was very nice, everyone (all of us retirees) had a really good time. Propane did run out one day and it was cold but it was filled the next day. Wood delivery guys asked for $50 cash to stack the wood...I paid it. No problem. Hot water in shower and bath was a little tepid, usable but not like home. Someone may want to check the hot water heater.

The path to the beach was a little longer than expected, but definitely better than loading everyone up in the car. The house was very clean and comfortable.   we were not informed that extra sheets, games and movies were not included before our visit due to covid. There was a smart tv but unable to sign on to our Netflix through the app supplied and no cable TV even though it was in the description. There were not enough garbage bags supplied for the week. we had to purchase our own and the garbage was never collected the whole week we were there so it piled up in the garage. We did call to have someone show us how to use the remotes as there were no instructions and we thought we would have cable which wasn't the case. They also brought us extra sheets for the fold out bed. One of the beds downstairs was hard as a rock and we ended up sleeping on an airbed we brought. The wifi was not protected by a password which allowed us to access easily but was it safeguarded?

  Our group of 8 had mixed reviews. Overall - Nice house, Great location, love the path to the beach. Not as cozy as other homes we've stayed. Throw blankets would be nice. Small windowless bedroom is a bit of an exaggeration. Lacked some of the basics like towels (mostly hand towels for the bathrooms) and additional garbage bags for a large group.

  The location and views were great and the access to the beach was an easy 5 minute walk even with carrying a baby and toddler most of the way. The house layout was perfect for a couple of families. Our only issue was that the description of the primary bedroom needs to be updated. The bed is not a queen but a full size which was a disappointment. Also there is no tv in the primary bedroom as described, which is fine just not accurate. We would definitely stay here again.

  When we go away we like to dance and cook. The Gull house is lacking in stereo equipment (no CD player, neither tuner nor speakers were working). We could play 1 CD at a time on the DVD Player with only the TV speaker playing.
  The cookware was very poor quality, dented and scratched teflon, aluminum pots and pans and lack of cooking utensils. Private but unaesthetic hot tub location.

  Property manager extremely helpful. Great follow-up both with check-in and check-out. Only reason we were dissatisfied was the tv's were broken and didn't work. The home has a great location.
