The Welcome Home - *Pet Friendly* 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home along the coast line with spanning ocean views, nice outside areas, patio & decks. Located across from Portuguese Beach in Sereno Del Mar neighborhood. Just a short walk to Portuguese beach. All one level home, nice open kitchen, living and dining area. King bed in the master suite, twins in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen in the 3rd bedroom. Gas fireplace in living room, TV with Cable in LVR, 2nd TV with DVD in master bedroom. A couple steps up to the front door, but then the entire house is one level. Full kitchen, with dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, blender. Washer and dryer is in the garage for guest use. Two car garage in addition to a nice flat driveway. Lush land full of wildlife.
*Pet Friendly* with $75 pet fee.
*California State Beaches are not dog friendly and include Bodega Dunes State Park, Colman Beach, Miwok Beach and Salmon Creek Beaches. All Sonoma County Beaches and Parks allow dogs.

  Very cozy private home. Kitchen is great. Bedrooms are very inviting except for the fact that my wife, 82 years old, needed a step stool to get into the bed in the master bedroom. TV is not for the tech impaired persons. The DVD player must be turned on to get to the "smart" TV offerings. Otherwise, regular TV is very poor in offerings. We would rent again.

  Another amazing rental from bodega bay escape. This location is literally 5 min walk to the beach (you have to cross highway 1). If you're bringing your pets the best way to the beach is taking the left side beach entrance a little further down the road (7-10 min walk?) . It's less steep for dogs or if you have young children.
  Rental itself is clean but there are questionable carpet stains that my dogs were really obsessing about. It didn't smell or anything and they cleaned the spots as good as they can. Just older carpet that might have particles that only dogs can smell.
  That being said, it's a great place for dog owners! It was only my husband, our 2 pugs and myself. It was plenty enough space. It will definitely fit a family of 5 or 6 comfortably. It's quiet and a great escape from the hussle and bustle of the bay area. There is no cellphone reception but I didn't even realize until we were leaving lol! Wifi was great!
  Since it is a beach property- watch out for ants. We had an infestation when I left some food out overnight. (Completely my fault).
  They provide insecticides so it was an easy clean. Ants were gone within a few hours. Just keep this in mind as with all beach rentals- this is always a risk due to dry weather. We also used the grill outside and forgot to clean it asap. Ants were all over the grill within hours. As soon as we cleaned the grill- the Ants were gone! We will definitely stay here again and we've been very happy so far with the rental company. Second place we have booked with them and we just love it!
  As far as groceries go- we stopped at bodega bay to pick up small groceries. They don't have a great selection of meats - so if you're staying longer, pack your cooler and stuff it with your favorite protein choice at your local grocery store back home =)

  I had a lovely time at this home and we made great memories together. We brought art supplies for night activities, streamed "The Birds", and made a nice dinner together. During the day we watched the sunrise from the deck, took walks on The Bodega Bay Head, from the deck of the house we saw lots of deer, and the sunset. I think my only concern was the lack of responsiveness when trying to reserve the house. I think it took a long time for people to call me back, if they did. So I had to be persistent. Also, the fact that during the pandemic, we retrieved the key from under the doormat. I was so worried for my safety because of this. I wish they had a different process. The people were always kind and helpful, just unresponsive at times, or not timely. I think they are very busy people because this home was very lovely.

  We found the Welcome Home very clean and neat when we arrived. It has a very nice presentation when you walk in the door. The family room, kitchen and bedrooms are well positioned and inviting. Couches in the family room are quite uncomfortable and the TV channel offerings are limited. Kitchen is well equipped. Very quiet location. Deer visited the yard every day.

  Thank you owners for getting some new seating in the living room. Much more comfortable. TV offerings are still limited to 3 major channels and a few others. Kitchen is great as always. Master bedroom has a new mattress and box springs. The mattress is hard so that did not work well for us. When we come again we will sleep in the bedroom with the twin beds which are more to our liking as far as comfort. We have stayed here 4 times in the last 2 yrs. and will probably rent it again since we don't rely on TV for entertainment.

  We were totally satisfied with The Welcome Home except the TV offerings were very limited, basically NBC, ABC and CBS with a few other channels thrown in. No sports, no Hallmark which my wife enjoys, no national news channels, etc.

  Overall a good experience. Enjoyed the welcome home location.
  +Great location, lots of towels, kitchen supplies.
  - Could use new pillows and king bed is very firm, the queen bed was too hard to sleep on (for us). The twin beds were soft but lumpy. Couch was the most comfy.
